In the aftermath of the recent bushfires (and other extreme weather events) the Blue Mountains community have come together to support one another. Various events are being held across the Blue Mountains. See the Recovery Tab to find an event near you.

3. SFA Low/Free School-Term holidays activities

Local service working together to provide affordable  opportunities for local families to build memorable  experiences. Please note most of our services do not provide activities over the Christmas period.
SFA School Holiday Activity Providers have confirmed compliance with Working With Children requirements. Please note those activities where  parent/carer supervision is  also required.

Recovering Our Backyard: How you can help

  • What can you do in your own backyard?

  • Are you interested in volunteering to:
    • Help wildlife impacted by the bushfires in the Blue Mountains region?
    • Assist with recovery of our natural environment?
    • Join a local wildlife or conservation group?
  • What skills can you offer to our community?
    • Can you sew or knit;  make things from wood;  write grants;  draw or take photos;  have skills using social media;  enjoy gardening;  have a car to help with deliveries etc?
In addition to our speakers, tables with representatives from local groups and organisations will be set up on the day with more information, and opportunities to voluteer.

Afternoon tea will be provided (Gold coin entry to assist with catering)
