After the Fires: Reflection, Recovery, Renewal

31st March, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

After the Fires is a well-being program for Blue Mountains residents to come together and process the emotional impact of the recent bushfires and move forward in a positive way.

In the aftermath of the recent bushfires, many in the community are feeling weary, anxious, sad and distressed.
Grief over the impact of the fires on people, property, wildlife and the land will be deep and ongoing.

This program will assist participants to feel supported, less isolated and empowered to see a path of positive recovery. Processes will include sharing, storytelling, personal reflection and writing, mindfulness/visualisation exercises and practical planning for the future.

After the Fires aims to provide a safe space for reflection, for participants to feel grounded and begin the journey of recovery and renewal.

❖ The workshops will be presented by experienced local facilitators Chandu
Bickford and Donna Mulhearn in the Earth Room at Blue Labyrinth Bush Retreat,
Woodford.

❖ Four workshops will be offered on two Sundays: February 23 and March 15 from
10am-2pm; and two evenings: Tuesday March 10 and Tuesday March 31 from
5pm – 8.30pm. More workshops will be organised if there is demand.

❖ The workshops will be free of charge and refreshments will be provided.
